KERS makes a fuel-efficient 20 Percent

Perhaps for this system, or KERS Kinetic Energy Recovery system is only used for F1 racing cars. Yet it seemed to you as a rider must be prepared to accept this technology in the streets.

European car manufacturer, Volvo became the next manufacturer to implement a technology that could change the power of the braking power for this machine.

As quoted from a press release Volvo, Volvo says that by combining with a normal engine vehicles will be capable of spraying up to 80 additional personnel dk.

Nnamun biggest advantage is the vehicle can release more energy by consuming more fuel-efficient exactly 20 percent more efficient.

How did it happen?

Volvo will use technology KERS is on the flywheel (flywheel). So when the car brakes, will result in flywheel spins up to 60,000 rpm. And this round will produce energy that can be used when the car accelerates.

This system is more effective when the cars are in urban street that makes the car forward and stopped frequently.

KERS technology is not new technology, cars like the Porsche was already using the technology at the flywheel KERS this. But the difference according to Derek Crabb, Vice President of Volvo Powertrain Engineering field Derek Crabb, Volvo is the first to use it in a car with rear-wheel drive. During this KERS used in cars with front wheel drive.

"If the process of testing and development goes according to plan, we expect a car with KERS flywheel technology is going to be found in showrooms within the next few years," said Crabb.

Choosing the right windshield wiper to Improve Safety on Winter Driving

With winter looming many drivers prepare their vehicles for winter by installing a set of winter tires. While these are essential for safe driving, many fail to recognize windshield wiper blades are just as important.

There are hundreds of brands and types on the market. Which ones are the best for winter driving?

There is no easy answer to this question. There are a number of factors that come to play when deciding. The wiper blades you select must match your vehicle and be suitable for the climate in which you are driving.

Most vehicles come with all-purpose blades installed from factory. These are adequate for clearing the windshield in most mild climates but are rarely suitable for winter driving. With snow, ice and salt a reality of winter driving, having the correct wiper blade is essential for safe winter driving.

You can choose from winter, silicone, shaker, standard or heated wiper blades. Each has its own unique use. Some are better suited for mild climates while others are designed exclusively for harsh winter conditions.

When winter approaches it is advisable for drivers to choose winter wiper blades. These are designed to handle snow and ice and survive the harsh conditions typically associated with winter driving.

Most winter wiper blades will prevent snow and ice from accumulating and clear the windshield's surface during driving.

However, it is recommended you choose a blade with a tough rubber surface and a body made of a heavy gauge steel. This will allow it to resist severe winter conditions and changes in temperature that cause other blades to freeze and become ineffective at clearing the snow from the windshield.

Some manufacturers have improved on the standard winter wiper blade by making the surface of silicone instead of rubber. This allows it to last longer than rubber ones and provides better clearing capability.

Other manufacturers offer a vibrating wiper blade known as a shaker blade. These help dislodge snow and ice from the wiping surface and helps prevent any accumulation of debris while driving. These types of wiper blades are effective in many different driving climates not just winter.

Shaker blades are typically more expensive to purchase and more complex to install. However, they offer superior visibility for the driver when compared to standard winter or silicone blades.

Drivers can also opt to install heated winter windshield wiper blades on their vehicles. These have small heating elements inside the rubber cleaning surface and melt both the snow and ice during operation.

Drivers activate the heating element with a switch installed inside their vehicle. These heated blades offer superior clearing capability over any other blade on the market. These are also the most expensive to purchase and the most complex to install.

No matter which type of wiper blade you choose, you can improve the effectiveness of your choice by using a washer solution designed for winter use. This will help prevent snow and ice from accumulating on the windshield and allow the blades to work better.

Taking Special Care When Driving

It's amazing how much driving the average American does in one year. But that is just the way our society works-somehow, you have to get from your house to work or school just about every day, and the most convenient way for many people is to drive there. Countless activities and daily tasks require the help of a vehicle, and so people find themselves behind the wheel for quite a few hours a week. Because of that, it becomes an issue of extreme importance for drivers to take care while they are operating their vehicles. Several things, though they may appear to be small, can interfere in driving, and result in dire and damaging situations.

For example, many people will tell you that driving while under the influence of things such as alcohol or drugs is nothing more than a death wish-although you are not always the person who finds themselves hurt or dead. Hopefully, that warning is something that you automatically follow, understanding the complete wisdom in it. However, there are other 'influences' that you may not always think about, that can be just as distracting to your driving.

One of them is music. There are so many gadgets and things available to us these days that allows us to really get into the music scene, dig deeply, and find a lot of enjoyment in the rhythm, lyrics, and style of all kinds of music. Many people enjoy listening to music on the radio, CDs, iPods, or other electronic equipment at all times of the day-but especially while driving. One must be cautioned to do so carefully. Never turn your radio up louder than you can concentrate. Music has a way of taking charge of your focus, and much less of your attention will be appropriately placed on the road.

Another of them is fatigue. Just as many people get into accidents every year from the effects of fatigue as the effects of alcohol. Because fatigue can cloud a person's judgment, take some or all of their attention, or simply cause you to do things you would not usually do, it is one of the more deadly influences that drivers can experience. And it is so easy to do-a long day at work, an extra long drive, a sleepless weekend-all of these things can contribute to the fatigue level of a driver, and all of them can result in a bad situation.

Stay as focused as you possibly can. If you find that you are becoming distracted by one or more things while driving, do what you can to eliminate those distractions before continuing on your journey. Because you must drive so frequently in your life, it may be easy to fall into the category of "auto pilot." Be aware of your focus, and do what is necessary to relocate it on the task at hand. By doing these simple things and being aware of what may distract you, chances are you will drive much better, preserving your own safety as well as the safety of the drivers around you.

This About Features Perfect For Weekend Car

Let's be honest you work hard all week and just want to relax from Friday afternoon till Sunday night. Taking a road trip is far from your mind when leaving the office at five o'clock on a Friday afternoon. So far in fact, that the idea that you have to drive in traffic just to get back to the recliner that has been calling you name since Wednesday is enough to hire someone off the street to drive you home. But wait, what if you could place that comfy recliner, with heated cushions, in the spot that has been the home of a lousy excuse for a driver seat?

What if you could change that old beat up hand-me-down vehicle that you probably named Betty or Rex because you have to cheer it on when going up a steep hill? Well, maybe it's not too late. There is a solution. It's called a visit to the bank and a used car lot. The one, two, punch, if you will. Don't get me wrong new cars are nice but who can afford a new car? Not this guy. So, in order to make this new-pre-owned car special splurge on one feature that you truly makes want to drive longer, farther, more often. It will completely change your opinion about traffic.

Sunroof, moonroof, convertible. All three car features are pretty awesome. The sunroof says "Hey, I like the sun and clouds, and maybe I like to stand up in my car sometime like those people in limos". It also says "I'm scared of hitting bugs at high speeds but I can give someone in a helicopter a high or low five." It means you are conservative but under the right conditions can come out of your shell and be the life of the party. A moon roof just means you should not be trying to look at constellations while driving. Now, a convertible is something to enjoy. It says "I'm crazy but fun and I'll race you to the supermarket." And if your female it means you're a daredevil, cause girl that wind does not mix well with the wind.

Sound system, spinners & rims, paint and decals -- Now these are grouped together because you cannot have more than one and be a fully functional person in society. A sound system is a must for indie, country, rap, classical, etc. If you are a music guru or a true fan of just one genre you need an awesome sound system. I remember sitting in my car just listening to the radio, Tthat could have been because the speaker were better than my so called boom box but probably because I was avoiding chores. However, get a sound system that lets you enjoy the radio, CDs, ipod, amtrack, or whatever vice you use because at least you will be well entertained. Spinners and rims are not a thing. How many compliments have you gotten on your 17s? Or though having your tires spin while stopped was cool? Plus, honestly you can't afford them. The maintenance and the waxing are just not worth it. You can't get cheap spinners cause everybody will know. Paint and decals are the same way. Waxing is over rated and political slogans are for the pushy people who believe we live in a black and white world.

Glass ornament on Cars Could Invite Dangers

For those of you who used to put a cabin fragrances hanger by hanging on the rearview mirror of your car cabin, now it seems to be rethought. Because it turns out a lot cause accidents.

Even in Britain, the insurer is preparing a rule that when the hanger is to make air fresheners car accident so, users have to face the charges.

For a survey involving 2000 vehicles revealed that 1 in 20 was in the car blindspot caused by decorations that do not really need it.

In England the usual hangers placed in the rearview mirror is the cabin air freshener, teddy bears, beads and symbol of football clubs.

There are also various small items such as pots and stuffed animals are usually placed on a dashboard. It is also dangerous because the driver's visibility menggurangi.

Besides goods also endanger road users is that when the CDs in place in the cabin can reflect sunlight and glare when looking at making motorists.

"The windshield is the best windscreen clean and clear. Many drivers seem to want to change their cars often obscure their view," said AA president, Edmund King.

"While most of the small air fresheners may be considered not interfere with vision, in some cars is really annoying and definitely impaired the driver's vision," he added.

"At the intersection of a teddy bear (who was hanged in the middle mirror) can easily form a blind spot to blur the appearance of passing pedestrians or cyclists," he said again.

"We urge all motorists to eliminate the dangerous goods so that they can concentrate on the road ahead," lugasnya.

Facing Offroad Circuit

Your offroad terrain like? it is good to really prepare the vehicle. Cars for heavy field must have strong legs.

Because it's one of the supporting part you succeed or not out of path offroad. After ensuring the reliability of the car should read offroad terrain that would be passed.

In these conditions you should really be able to read a character field that will be passed and these tips when passing offroad track.

1. Before you go down to the field recognize the functions available in the car, such as 2H, 4H and 4L. 2H (2WD High Range) which means that power is channeled to the rear wheels only. To model the car is only suitable for asphalt track. Do caecal car-times dipping into muddy terrain.

4H (4WD High Range), engine power is channeled to the front wheels and rear portions with the division of 50:50. This position is for bad road conditions, slippery or wet. 4L (4WD Low Range) in tenag four wheels of the engine with the maximum channeled. The function of these features for a muddy off-road terrain.

2. Learn the terrain that will be addressed. Do not let the car you are using does not correspond to trajectories that will be traversed. Rather than get out of the track but the effect was even trapped in the mud.

In this case you must learn the car height (ground clearance and wheelbase). It is very important when you go through bumps or bumpy roads.

Front Over Hang In addition, the distance from the center front wheel to the forefront of the vehicle. Aproach Angle, ie large angle formed between a flat line and the road leading point of the vehicle. Rear Over Hang center distance between the rear wheels with the car backward. Departure Angle, the term is for a large angle formed between a flat line the street and point backward.

3. If you are a beginner should heed the expert (experienced). Well, when you are the second participant or after that try not to make their own line. Stay dijalur already passed. It was to maintain security.

4. Set the speed of the car. This is to anticipate a sharp bend in front. Do not let the car's tail does not come through.
